last night it took me a really long time to fall asleep, and then when i did i had a short dream that scared the crap out of me and i woke up again. that was lame.mike didn't come home last night till 3:30am because he went to the ice skating rink (the hopkins GSA rented it out again) and one of his coworkers fell and broke her arm, so he had to take her to the hospital. lucky for her he was the only other person in the group who decided not to go out drinking afterwards. work to-day turned out pretty good, even though it started out really slowly. though i was freaked out that every single person who came in in the first three hours was wearing purple. i'm also happy that i got there before the crowd started to gather at the irish pub a few doors down or i wouldn't have had a place to park (not to say that that's necessarily a problem since despite the fact that there's two HUGE parking lots most people will park in places that aren't actually for parking. morons. WALK 15 MORE FEET.mike and i are planning on going to ikea tomorrow (andrea! probably one of the few days you won't be there) :) we're going to see what they have in the way of storage.i want a cinnamon bun.

i want a cinnamon bun too. that, or ice cream. yeah, i've been to ikea a ton in the past 2 weeks. i really adore it there, i guess. i got another bathroom shelf on friday night, and mounting stuff for the shelves we already have, as well as a flour and sugar canister set. we always need storage things, too. would it be totally odd if i invited you to my 23rd birthday party in late february? i've been wanting to meet you and haven't been able to, and if you wouldn't object i'd be glad to have you. :-)

haha that's fine. i'm normally pretty quiet when i first meet people (well, when i first meet a large group of people, at least) but that might be fun. though i can't make any promises yet because i have no idea what my work schedule will be like then (i don't even know what my work schedule is like next week).
i have plenty of friends who have that same issue. stupid retail. i know i used to turn down people for plans when i had the starbucks job, as they always made me work bad weekend hours. i can't picture you being amazingly quiet, from reading your LJ and seeing your journal, but i don't mind--i do the same thing when i am in unfamilar places, or with people i don't know well. you don't have to promise, i just wanted to give you a heads-up about it. it should be on the 24th of february, which is a saturday, at around 6-7 PM.
